(Dominion Hall, University Commons , Commonwealth Hall)

The DUCC Housing Area provides two types of living options in Dominion Hall, University Commons and Commonwealth Hall.

University Commons

University Commons is a traditional residential complex housing over 400 freshmen and sophomore residents. Each floor has a community bathroom and houses approximately 26-30 residents living in double and triple rooms. Each resident is provided a bed, desk, chair, closet and dresser. All rooms are carpeted and have window treatments.

The two-and three-story buildings surround Hanover Hall, a central commons building featuring a study lounge, a TV lounge, laundry facilities, a common kitchen area, professional staff offices, a service desk and a vending area. University Commons is a non-smoking housing area.

Hanover Hall: 703-993-2736 or x3-2736 if calling from a campus phone. The area desk is open 10am to 2am.

Resident Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and safety within assigned room.
• Adhere to community standards, your Housing Agreement and the Guide to Pride: Resident Student Handbook.
• Pay for all long-distance phone calls.
• Participation in a mason residential meal plan (except seniors).

Commonwealth and Dominion Halls

Commonwealth and Dominion, located in the DUCC Area, are five-story buildings consisting of suite style, double occupancy rooms housing approximately 500 upper class residents. All rooms have beds, chairs, desks, bookshelves, closets, and dressers. Carpets and window treatments are also provided. The first floor of each building includes a reception area, meeting room, lounge, vending and laundry facilities. Floors two through five are residential, each housing approximately 62 residents. Each floor has two wings with central elevators and a study lounge.

• Limited number of single units, however single rooms are generally not available to new students.
• Conveniently located near Fenwick Library

Resident Responsibilities

• Provide own cleaning supplies (cleaner, toilet paper, etc.)
