FAQAir-Conditioning

QWhen will the Air-Conditioning be turned on?

AThe historical averages to convert from heat to air conditioning NORMALLY takes place around the middle of April. As you know, we can only have heat OR air conditioning in some buildings, not both. Because of this, we monitor the temperatures carefully to ensure we do not convert prematurely. Primary indicators used to decide when to switch over to air conditioning are the low nightly temperatures. Once temperatures stay out of the 30's for the lows and high daily temperatures remain in the 70's, the conversion to air conditioning will begin. We review daily the 15 day forecast for our area to make this determination. Once conversion starts, it takes about 1 week to convert all housing areas to air conditioning.
