Accommodation Types

Housing Styles

  • Traditional-Style: All rooms on a floor share a common bathroom area. Floors have 12 - 15 rooms each and 3-4 showers, stalls, and sinks.
  • Suite-Style: 1 to 4 bedrooms (up to four people) share a bathroom.
  • Apartment-Style: 2 to 4 bedrooms that share a living space, kitchen, and a bathroom typically for every 2 people. Most bedrooms are singles. Available to guests staying 30 days or longer only.

No matter what style you choose, all bedrooms are furnished with 1 long twin bed, 1 dresser, 1 desk, 1 chair, and 1 closet space per person.

Bedroom Occupancy Types

  • Single: 1 person per bedroom. To accommodate conference needs, we can put 1 person in a double bedroom and call it a "single."
  • Double: 2 people per bedroom
  • Triple: 3 people per bedroom
  • Quint: 5 people per bedroom
  • Multiple: more than 1 person per bedroom. The includes doubles, triples & quints.

Area Descriptions

All Presidents Park buildings are traditional-style. Most are doubles, but there are also some singles, triples and quints.

DUCC features traditional-style halls collectively called the University Commons and suite-style halls: Commonwealth and Dominion. The University Commons have mostly doubles, but some single and triples. Commonwealth and Dominion are mostly double with a few singles. Additional DUCC Area features and lounge spaces are described here.

Chesapeake buildings are all suite-style with a mixture of doubles and singles. Additional Chespeake Area features and lounge spaces are described here.

York River Corner is all apartment-style and only available to guests staying 30 days or longer (no exceptions). Additional YRC area features are described here.return to top
