Guest Responsibilities

Camp & Conference guests are accountable for the policies and procedures as outlined in the Guide to Pride: Resident Student Handbook. In addition, guests are accountable for local, state and federal guidelines.



Some highlights are listed here:

Alcoholic Beverages
Possession of alcoholic beverages by those under the legal drinking age is prohibited. Open containers of alcohol in public areas outside of rooms, apartments or townhouses are prohibited.

Destruction of Property
Guests are obligated to report any destruction they witness or in which they are involved. Charges for damages and cleaning will be determined by the Office of Housing and Residence Life and will be charged accordingly to the group. Rooms should be left in the same condition they were found.

Violent Behavior
Guests who commit acts of a violent nature such as physical and verbal threats or vandalism may be immediately removed from housing.

Windows
Guests may not project items from windows or tamper with screens.

Sports in the Halls
Playing any type of sports in the halls will not be permitted.

Smoking
All residence areas are smoke-free. Smoking is prohibited within all residence buildings, including stariwells and entrances. Smothing is also prohibited within 20 feet of residence halls.

Keys and Locks

  • Keys are not transferable. If you need to exchange keys for some reason, see your Area Desk.
  • Guests are encouraged to lock their room doors whenever they leave.
  • The replacement fee for a lost or unreturned key is equal to the cost to recore the locks and make new keys.
  • If you are locked out of your room, report this to the Area Desk, & we will assist you in gaining access to your room.
  • All keys must be signed back in at the time of check-out. Keys NOT returned upon checkout will be considered lost.

Before you Check-Out

  1. Guests are responsible for leaving their rooms in the same condition as when they checked into them.
    • Put all furniture, including mattresses and chairs, back where you found them. Groups will be charged for replacement of missing items or for a moving fee if we are able to locate the item in another room or location.
    • Take out all of your trash & any item you brought into the room, from pizza boxes to papers.
    • Furniture, walls, & carpets should be in the same condition. Camps are responsible for any damages to the room or furniture.
    • If your group has requested linens, be sure to leave them in individual piles in your room. The items will be counted, and groups will be held responsible for any missing items.
  2. Be sure to lock your door when you leave!
